After buying filters and cleaning my old, large, box shaped, fan style humidifier, it is a great relief to find this beautiful appliance that adds style to the space. I no longer have to try to disguise this essential element of our comfort. At the top of the staircase, on carpet, making certain it sits level is the only thing I ever have to think about with this unit. I selected a nice base/table to set it on and it performs wonderfully. It is much quieter, with a gentle bubble sound. Quite soothing. We are in a very dry climate so we use it continuously. I add water approximately 2 times a day. If you have issues with lifting, this unit would be difficult to fill because of the design. The handle is on top but you must flip it over to fill the reservoir, then close and flip it back over which requires two hands. However, it is also a nice way to strenghten my arms and wrists!

Easy to fill the water every 48 HoursJust like it says it last that long before you even need to re-enter and fill it up again.Its light enough your not lifting something that becomes a hassle.Once on, it runs nicely,I love the very low sounds it makes,I have always anted to buy a water fountain for the soothing sounds.Well in a sense this serves that purpose as well.Its a very faint kind of babbling brook if you will sound to it.This is no way an annoying machine sound, not at all. NO!Its as I say faint but in the distance sorta lovely soothing sound.It alerts you when more water is needed.As I said thou earlier it last up to two days.I like and have it set at the highest point to make it tallin which I can use it on my floor.I love the modern look it gives off so much.I love anything modern.Looks so nice too.
