Cute Little Box but Slighty Damaged

Cute little box that I got to keep my newly collected coins. It is a good size, for my tiny batch of 20 coins and paperwork. I like the color of the wood, as well. Unfortunately, the top of the box looks like it has some type of paper maché covering on it, which is wrinkled. Not sure what it is, since the rest of the box is just plain wood and looks fine. Not worth the aggravation to return, but am disappointed.
