Speed Bore Bits

I had to drill a 3" blind hole in a 10" oak beam, overhead and inside of a wall. You could not see what you were doing. These bits are a life saver. Make sure you have both hands on the drill though because these are the most agressive bits I have ever used. Uses a cool quick disconnect extension also. A must have for those impossible holes!

Excellent bits, but require the power to run them.

I've used these bits extensively and am very pleased with them. They come with a replaceable tip, which I've never had to use, but the only significant advantage of competitors products is the replaceable blade leading edges. Several reviewers gave the bits poor reviews because their drills could not handle the bits. This is not an issue with the bits... it takes a ton of power to drill a 2-9/16" hole with this style bit. I used a Dewalt DWD460, and the very first time I used them it was to drill a 2-9/16" hole in a 120 year old solid oak beam 10" thick.
