Great Product!

Last year I used this product on a old wooden play ground swing set which was looking pretty old. I used Baked Brick color to revive the wood, the gym set looks brand new. I used a 4" roller as well as a brush and it went on smoothly. Still looking good this year especially after this hard winter we just had in the Northeast. I am very pleased with this product and look forward to doing a back deck project soon using Cabot again, but a different color this time.

Two coats or one?

I was thrilled to get clarity about putting on one or two coats of the Solid Color Acrylic Siding Stain over previously stained wood after visiting the Cabot website. It is unclear on the can directions. On the can, in two places in bold type it says "requires a 2-coat application" and is unclear if it means new wood AND previously stained wood. According to the website, the product is a one-coat application. Suggestion to Cabot to make it clear on the can directions.

the only product i use

i'm a contractor and use this for going over clear coated siding (that need to be done every year or two, when people get tired of the maintenance). do the trim in a different color and it really stands out. houses i've painted 5 or 6 years ago look like they've just been cleaned or washed even though nothing has been done. bottom line, outstanding product, easy to apply, as advertised. i'm in western north carolina with high humidity and drastic temp changes in a 24 hour period. can't recommend enough. we don't spray, roll and back brush.
