Throw away all your hole saws and forstners

A fantastic tool, with really nice attention to manufacturing quality. Tool adjustment is easy and accurate, and it holds where you put it. And the results are entirely satisfactory - clean, accurately sized holes. It take a bit of learning to manage the hole start with softer woods, but with a bit of practice and some patience, and a good drill press, this bit has put an end to my use of those cheaper non-adjustable hole saws. It is a bit challenging to use it without a drill press, so if you're looking to drill holes in wood that you can't put on your press, this might not be the answer for you. On the other hand, if you go slow enough t start, its possible.

Product Manager in a computer company

You severely understate the capabilities of this drill bit. Especially for the older version that allowed you to dial in the diameter on an integral scale.........but even the present version is wonderful. Basically, Forstener level results for any size.

Disappointing.

Steel is soft. Tool is not sharp. Edges of cutting surfaces are burred, because of the way it was sharpened. If I wanted to burn a hole through my wood project I'd use a hot iron.
