This sprayer has a angled metal end where the spray comes out. The sprayer wand comes attached by a clip to the side of the sprayer while in box. There was a small dent right at the bottom of the cylinder where the sprayer end rests near bottom of the tank. There was no damage to box in this area. The only way this could happen would be for another heavy box in shipping to push down sideways on end of spray wand and cause a dent. So come on Chapin, at least put some styrofoam on sprayer end to prevent this. This should not effect the use of the sprayer and am not going through the hassle of trying to send back. Sure you can blame the shipper but I doubt they will never set boxes on top of your sprayer box. So one star for you for poor packaging!
