We hadn't used the fireplace in years. So we sealed off the chimney and installed this unit over the weekend. Amazing! It looks great especially with 3 different light settings. The unit puts off great heat. The first night we had the unit on the third of five heat levels. Not only did the central heat not kick on for a few hours, but we got too warm and turned it down a level. For a two story house, that's amazing. It would also look good as a stand alone unit without a fireplace to sit in.
