My Ratchi mix will not eat any dog treats I buy him. He refuses milk bone, canine carry outs and many other brands I can't remember the name of. He also refuses (and I have worked with him plenty of times from when he was a tiny pup) to let me brush his teeth. After noticing plaque build up and the more obvious stinky breath, I bought some of those long skinny green dental treats. (The ones that are hard and about the size of a drinking straw.) He liked them OK, surprisingly, and I did notice a slight dif in his teeth and breath. The plaque was still on his gums closest to the teeth, however. When I first tried these his reaction was totally unexpected. He absolutely loves them! His breath, teeth and gums all look shiny and beautiful! I buy this size package and give him half of one a day since he is a small/medium dog so I get almost 60 days out of it. Well worth it. If yer dog rejects meaty flavored treats try the mint. Odd as it is, that's what worked for me.
