Dramatically Improved Sound

For a $29.00 piece of car audio gear, this equalizer 'saved' my sound. I purchased a DVD/NAV system online and it was lacking high end frequencies and was heavy on the mid tones which was hard on the ears at anything more than medium volumes. Adjusting the head unit's bass and treble did very little to improve the situation. I was considering sending it back but then thought I might give an equalizer a try. It was just the right move. The 12dB adjustment brought the highs back and I dropped the mids a few dB. I tweaked the bass a touch by adding a few dB there and I couldn't be happier with my sound quality. Paired with a Dual XPE2700 2 channel amplifier - also from Walmart - I have great clean and punchy sound. I did get a very very small amount of static sound after installing the equalizer, but this was fixed by repositioning my source ground wire. I would HIGHLY recommend this equalizer to anyone on a budget and wanting to really improve their sound quaity. I'm sure that car audiophiles would sneer at this product, but for me it worked exceptionally well.

Not bad, but not that good.

Bottom line is the unit is alright. The real problem is the sub gain falls down over a nice drive 20 to 30 min. Nobody wants that
