Nice, heavy cast iron pan in a size that's perfect for those small items, like my breakfast sausages, or doing one grilled cheese sandwich. It came pre-seasoned, but I always wash these in very hot water first and then do another round before using it. This is just your typical high quality Lodge cooking product, of which I have several. I got tired of buying these overpriced "non stick" products every few years, so now I have cooking products that will outlast me and can be passed on to my grown kids. The cast artwork on the bottom of this pan is just an added bonus, but not my reason for buying.

Beautiful and Sturdy—When You Get a Good One

I finally found a robust and beautiful cast iron skillet from Lodge, and when the quality is right, it's truly excellent. I've purchased Lodge skillets several times and love their design, weight, and cooking performance. That said, the quality isn't always consistent. In past purchases, I've noticed issues such as small chips along the rim, bubbles on the surface, or areas that weren't fully coated. Because of this, I sometimes had to buy more than one skillet just to choose the best one. Fortunately, this time I received a skillet with none of those issues. It's solid, well-finished, and exactly what I was hoping for. When you get a good one, it's absolutely worth it.

Perfectly Portion Size 6.5 Inch Cast Iron Skillet

Love it! This 6.5-inch cast iron skillet is perfect for petite sized portions! I purchased this skillet for cooking eggs, mini-pies, pasta and casseroles. It is wonderful for making 1-2 servings. The cleaning process is really simple. I used a sponge table salt mixed with baking soda with a dab of castille soap since I just received it. This skillet arrived lightly seasoned so I used some coconut oil on it. My eggs did not stick to it at all. I cannot wait to use it again tomorrow! 5 STARS! The price was really affordable! I highly recommend buying one or more of these skillets. I plan to buy another one so I can have a matching (twin) set.
