The problem is not with the item itself, but that I was very specifically seeking one that has the sewn binding. That is why I chose exactly that search term. I use it has a BUJO and consult it about 40 times every day for a half year, so it has to open rather flat and tolerate much use.
This item, one I have ordered from office stores in the past, has a glued binding. So it does not lay flat and pages fall out over many uses. The problem I have is that with Walmart online, I have also ordered something that was not described well. The other item was a cover with keyboard for a new Apple tablet. There were two models listed then, with the same product name, but one as regular and one as deluxe. I ordered the deluxe, only to find that it was for a product four inches longer, same item name. I called to exchange it and they said yes, and drop it off in the store. In store the clerk said I could not return it because it was opened. (It was just the cover not the computer, and as always opened with great care.) So I can't use it. It remains on my shelf, because I do not want to just throw it away, but ever since, I have never ordered any business items from Walmart.com ever again.
That is a loss for Walmart, because I am a business owner with 6 employees and over
$ 600,000 in annual sales. As a result, I buy supplies in Target or Staples, even though the price may be higher. I find it very distasteful when people flippantly return products, often on shady grounds; but... If, on the other hand, a product is not described correctly online, and then the person returns it in mint condition to exhange for the item they were trying to buy, they should be able to have the product exchanged.
