In 1950, Conrad Jobst founded JOBST in Toledo, Ohio. Born in Germany, Conrad was both a mechanical engineer and inventor. He applied his varied expertise and personal experience to the development of gradient compression garments, which relieve the symptoms of venous insufficiency.
Today, JOBST is an Essity owned brand and a global leader in the management of venous and lymphatic diseases.
What is Gradient Compression?
Garments with gradient compression have the greatest pressure at their base and reduce pressure as the compression garment goes up the arm or leg.
This helps encourage the movement of fluids, whether it's blood circulation or lymph fluid circulation.
The gentle pressure helps blood vessels and lymph vessels absorb fluids more easily, providing relief for tired, aching feet, ankles, and legs and counteracts swelling of arms and legs.
What is a SoftFit Band?
Garments that have the unique JOBST SoftFit technology have a fine silicone yarn knitted into the top band that keeps the stockings in place without digging into your skin.
This band allows the garment to stay in place during activity and makes them much more comfortable to wear.

Its a pleasure not to be embarrassed at the gym locker room (since the new compression stockings arrived) with my same size compression stockings that had holes at all the big toes. I wish the stockings had more reinforcement of some kind at the toe end. Just saying.
