We bought 3 natural wood color chairs for our daughter, my wife and I. Not being exactly a handy man type, I was a bit hesitant at first when I read reviews and saw that several people mentioned how complicated it was to assemble and how long it took. I decided to chance it because my wife and daughter liked the way the chair looked. The packages arrived very well packed. All the parts were clearly labeled. Only tool I needed was a plier and a screwdriver. I also used a power drill with a screwdriver attached to speed up the task a bit. The first chair took me about 20 minutes to assemble because I remembered someone mentioned of putting wrong parts in wrong place or upside down. I made sure that I looked at the parts carefully and match up to the drawing in the instruction. After that first one, the other two chairs took me less than 15 minutes to complete. Once fully assembled, the chairs felt very sturdy and solid. I finally finished painting them to the color that we want, gray blue (gorgeous color) that very closely resemble to our sidings. I will apply a layer or two of polyeurethane to protect the paint and chairs as well as providing a smooth finish, then we are good to go. If you don't have the patience to paint the chair, then get the pre-painted chair that they have listed. From personal experience, painting it with a paintbrush was time consuming. Time like this I wish I had invested in a power sprayer. Overall, we are very happy with the chairs and can't wait to have them out on the porch in time to greet young Trick or Treaters.
