this review is for the ZINUS RICARDO CONTEMPORARY UPHOLSTERED 78.4" inches SOFA, BLUE COLOR. this sofa consists of 6 upholstered separate pieces and 4 legs(hard plastic). this sofa/couch is shipped in 1 rectangle box which can be handled by 1 person having some strength. once the box is opened, all the pieces are packed in such a compact manner as to save space. assembling this sofa can be accomplished by 1 person, providing that person props one end up against a solid surface so that pressure can be applied to the end arm piece for the metal connectors to slide in snugly. the base needs to be supported with a solid object as well, if this assembly is done by just 1 person. the the metal supports that are attached to the inside surface of the arm rests and also the base, fit together in a V shape. the base V shape supports the upper V shape...sliding together. the back of the couch also slides into a third V shape that is also on the side arms of the sofa. this sofa makes a perfect conversational couch. meaning that it is the style of couch that is great for having company over for a visit and conversing while sitting comfortable. the reason i mention this is that this sofa isnt very wide from front to back and the knees of an adult person rests a couple of inches or more off the endge of the seat. a young child or young teen could lay comfortably on this sofa, but wouldnt be so for the average adult. the seat base of the sofa is supportive. no springs can be seen under the base and there is a covering over the bottom underneath which has velcro around the edges to conceal the open space. the sofa fits 3 adults comfortably. using corner pillows on the ends of the couch will help support the body weight of any person sitting on the ends. this sofa/couch is the perfect answer for people who are in apartments that have space dilemmas in hallways or corners because these sofa pieces can be carried individually. the base is narrow enough that if it is stood up on end, it would fit around and in any openings. also great for using in college dorms or dens. the directions are pictures only, no wording. there is a limited 1 year warranty. NOTE: before assembling the legs, remove the black protective cover tips covering the bolt.

This couch has been comfortable to both sit and lay on, especially with some side decorative pillows. The couch is a nice brown color. I really like the color as it is not too dark or too light. The fabric on the couch seems to be very durable. It is thick and sturdy to prevent a rip or tear from happening easily. The fabric also seems to be easy to clean for small spills. But luckily we haven't had to test that out yet. One thing to note is the dimensions. The couch it a little smaller than my others. The benefits of that is it fits into any room easily and great for smaller spaces. The downside is that the couch is small for larger adults. For example, a 6 foot tall person, his or her lower legs and knees hang off the couch cushions a few inches, but for a 5 foot 2 inch person the couch fits well. I just encourage prospective buyers to pay attention to the dimensions. From the front of the back cushions to the front edge of the couch it measures 20 inches. We are planning on using it in a kid's playroom so it is perfect for that. The couch was easy to assemble. It is pretty light and easy to move, so that was a bonus because our house has a lot of stairs.
