Love it

It was 102 in Los Angeles the day after I received the air-conditioner it blew the whole house cold within 10 minutes I live in a loft its 460 ft.² open no matter how hot it is outside I can't keep it on longer than a half hour before I'm freezing I highly recommend this unit

As expected, so far

I have used this Portable A/C for approx. 10 days. It is perfect for my needs. I have a 3rd floor apartment, so it gets hotter than the lower level apartment units, and my existing A/C system is simply not sufficient to cool my apartment when outdoor temp rises above Approx. 88 degrees. Therefore I needed an auxillary A/C unit for about 5 months of the year in N.C. Also I like the indoor temp at 67-to-69 degees or cooler during and immediately after my nightly shower, and also for my first hour or so in bed, so that I do not sweat in bed; then I want temp to go back to 71 degrees. This system works great for that purpose with remote control and the automatic on/off settings. The A/C unit arrived in good condition; easy to install. Hot air must be vented to outdoors thru window with assembly provided, or vented to outside thru some other opening. Currently, I had a 3-gallon container sitting behind the unit to catch the water drainage b/c I think apartment management will not approve my running a water drainage hose out the window. On very hot and humid days, my 3-gallon container may require emptying up to twice per day, so I looked for a better solution. The hose fitting for the continuous drainage hose on the A/C unit sits approx. 15.5 inches from the floor, so a 5-gallon plastic bucket from any of the home improvement stores is just perfect in my situation to catch all the water drainage for at least 24 hours before emptying even on the hottest and most humid days, with the unit running continuously on automatic for the full 24 hours. You keep the lid on the bucket, and just cut out, or bore out a small hole in the lid for the drainage hose to fit thru. If you get a "white" bucket, you should be able to see the water level in the bucket without opening the lid.

Portable air conditioner

This is the first time we have had a portable air conditioner not that we are going to move it. Purchased it for bedroom, as I have tons of allergies and need a really cold room. Since we live in Florida, it has not been that hot yet, but the few times we have used it, it works really well and makes the room cold in a very short time. Was hesitant about purchasing an unknown brand, but so far so good.
