This is the best shampoo I have found for my dog with sensitive and allergy prone skin. It is also the best smelling product I have found, as I am VERY picky. It smells like au lait soap, like milk and honey. I used to live in Lafayette and found it there at a locally owned pharmacy. After moving back, I couldn't find it anywhere in New Orleans for years, but finally found it, for the best price, online at Walmart. They don't carry it in store, but offer free site to store shipping. Amazon and others have it as well, but for twice and three times the price, even with free shipping. Because you use so much shampoo for a dog (mine is a hound - they get stinky) this is the best quality, best smelling, most frugally priced shampoo I have found. I buy it bottles at a time. Highly recommended.

I am pleasantly surprised by this shampoo, because my prior experience with Hartz has not been the greatest. I was previously using a lavender 2 in 1 dog shampoo from a semi-premium brand, and it went missing after a move so I had to replace it rather suddenly. I saw this on the shelf and it looked the least allergenic out of several options so I went with it. This is way better than the semi-premium lavender stuff. I like the scent better, and it leaves his coat shinier and easier to comb. He doesn't like it near his personal bits, and I wouldn't put it near his little eyballs, but I use baby shampoo for the mucus membrane areas anyway. For the longer, more dirt-prone hair on the body, this shampoo is excellent for this price category.
