Prepac Locking Media Storage Cabinet with Shaker Doors, Black

When I saw this cabinet with a locking system to it, I was thrilled because I've had my movies all stolen in the past. Now, if they want my movies...they'll have to take the entire unit! This unit was very easy to put together. I did have some difficulty with one of the screws for the locking piece (the screw stripped almost immediately), but after some jimmy-rigging, I was able to salvage it. The locking lever for the non-key locking door is a little temperamental, but I'm generally able to put it into lock position. Two pieces of contention with this unit. First, while I get the "security divider" being there as a weight bearer and to fill the gap between the doors, its presence makes it difficult to get any movies from behind that divider. My other problem with this unit and probably the most disappointing is that if you're storing a mix of DVD and Bluray, you wind up with these odd shelves that would only realistically hold a small book or CD case, laying down. You essentially lose a little storage room with this odd shelf. The fixed shelf is placed for a DVD (7 pegs down) and if you do the same thing (7 pegs in between), you end up with 3 or 4 odd man out pegs and the weird shelf. Overall, I'm happy with the unit and have plans to purchase a second one in the near future for my future media storage needs.

If there were magnets on the doors, we wouldn't have to lock it to keep the doors shut.
