Sauder Beginnings Computer Desk with Storage, Cinnamon Cherry Finish

I bought this desk for my girlfriend's children for their computer. They are hard on their belongings, at 14, 12, and 11 years old. The desk came with all pieces and a little extra hardware (an extra nail, screw, etc.) I am not a particularly handy guy, but everything came together easily. The instructions are pretty clear, and the pieces are fairly easy to identify. Some pieces have stickers with the part letter; others have the part letter painted along an unfinished edge. I really like that the instructions tell you exactly how many and what type/color screw to use in each step. The needed screw will be shown on the page at actual size. The package might have 3 different sizes of black screw of differing lengths, but it's easy to lay the actual screw on the instruction page to match it up and know you have the correct one. I liked that I was able to put it together, and all the pieces "fit" without a lot of finessing and re-screwing. It took me about 2 hours to put together, but I am slow and methodical, and I watch football, baseball, or soccer on TV while I work. You will need a medium sized Phillips head screwdriver and a hammer to build it. The instructions indicate using a hand tool vs. a power screwdriver or drill attachment. For this project, I think you could use a power tool without a problem if you know how to use it. The only thing I will add is that remember, this is a $100 desk. In itself, it's not super-high quality materials (covered pressboard). But it's sturdy and utilitarian, and for the price, I am very happy with it.

This desk came as described. This is not my first piece of Sauder furniture, and it assembled as easily as all the other stuff.
