Klean-Strip Green™ Muriatic Acid, 1 Gallon

We had removed some old carpet from our front porch and we needed to clean the stains off of the old concrete. I wanted to use a product that didn’t have harsh fumes so I decided to use Klean Strip Green Muriatic Acid to help remove the stains. The container has clear instructions on how to use this product and stated that it has 90% less fumes than standard Muriatic Acid. The container has specific directions for 3 different uses: 1. Brightening concrete, masonry, brick, stone, grout and hard surfaces. 2. Etching Concrete 3. Cleaning scum from boat hauls. I used the concentration for Etching concrete which was 24 oz of product per gallon of water. After adding the Muriatic Acid to the water, I stirred the solution with a wooden spoon and then used a plastic sprinkling can to apply the solution to the concrete. Then I used a broom to spread out the solution to make sure the concrete was completely covered. After 10 minutes it was ready to rinse off with a garden hose. I did this in two applications. The first application I just did a smaller section of the lower part of the concrete just to see what this product would do. I was really happy with the results. It did remove some of the glue residue that I wasn't expecting it to do. In the pictures you can see the difference this product made. Then I completed the application with the rest of the concrete. Overall I am very happy with the results. I applied the product on an open porch and it was very easy to apply with very little fumes. I didn’t even smell it until I was doing the full area and it wasn’t a strong order.

I received the Klean Strip Green Muriatic Acid as a product review. I used the acid on some of my pond rocks that were getting pretty nasty looking. As you can see from the photo, the acid cleaned the rock very well! I poured some of the undiluted acid directly on the rock. It bubbled up but really didn't clean the rock until I used a brush on it. I didn't wear gloves since I used a brush with a handle but next time I will since even the smallest of droplets of this stuff will burn your skin. It also has an odor so make sure you use it somewhere that's well ventilated.
