I needed a fan that could push a lot of air deep into a room with no air conditioning. Standard box fans were not powerful enough. This fan has the size needed ( 20 inches) to have the air pressure and air volume (see photo 1) I need to push cool air into a long hallway to a room with no air conditioning. This fan is very powerful, but also surprising low noise for the amount of air it pushes. The construction is quality through and through. First of all, it's UL certified, which is a seal of quality (See picture 2). It assembles easily using spring loaded push fittings (See picture 4). It can tilt, and the angle is locked in by large twist knobs (See picture 5). It has a grounded cord for safety, and isn't overly short like on some brands. It has three speeds (See picture 2) and the fastest speed moves enough air to be felt even 40 feet away. Pros: UL Certified Quality construction Easy to assemble Can hang on a wall with included wall hardware (A very nice uncommon option) Multiple rubber feet to isolate any vibration Can angle and more importantly hold the angle due to the robust twist knobs Nice length grounded cord Close spacing of the bars in the safety cage to prevent animals or children putting fingers in Quiet for the amount of air moved Cons: Lower speeds have a notably lower tone, which some people may find less pleasant. Summary: This is a very well built fan, that is surprisingly quiet for a high speed fan. It moves lots of air, and due to the blade construction, doesn't have the wall of sound associated with these types of fans. It's UL certified, which is an important safety standard. I give this fan a 10/10 on quality, a 10/10 on how much air it moves, and rate it at the highest possible level ( And I own dozens of fans ). For the price, build quality, and high air flow, this outperforms all of the other fans I own.
