It works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed an antenna for our family room tv, so when our satellite dish gets clomped with snow, we could still watch local tv. An amplified antenna (the kind that plugs in to an electrical outlet) is a must for the best picture quality, so I was eager to try out the Philips Elite. I love the blue light signal-strength indicator, as it really does show you the best possible placement to get the strongest reception you can. From where our TV is located, the best we could get was 5 out of 8 possible bars; for us, this is pretty good, as our house is located in a semi-dead zone, which even has trouble with cell phone reception. The Philips Elite is able to pull in all 20+ of our available local channels and sub-channels, so it's doing it's job. I would recommend giving it a try if you have need of an antenna for locals.

Strong signal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old antenna constantly cut out. I thought maybe this would be the same, but it picked up the same channels and every channel had max signal strength - and I only have the antenna sitting in the back corner of the TV stand. Very surprised! Good product.
