typical assembly - took a couple hours but wasn't hard. Love the look of it, and having the two shelves on top really gives me room for all my junk. Best of all, tall enough that I'm not leaning down trying to find the nightstand. Also, I love the light with time and dimmer.

Love this nightstand

Its a small night stand but its very sturdy even with fabric drawers.. the frame is metal and while putting together the holes for the screws and nails lined up perfectly, which is a rare find these days. Came with the little allen wrenches and screw driver so no need to dig into your toolbox. The drawers are deep enough to hold maybe 3 or 4 thick books and they have a thick cardboard so the fabric doesnt fold up. They slide in easily. The handles also attach well and takes a little strength to tighten them in. The height of the stand is level with the bed (at least for me..20 inches) the top 2 shelves are 6 inches in depth and the height of the stand I measure 39 inches.I love that it has a thin strip light and remote which lights up the entire stand well with brightness levels from high to low and also has a timer.... along with 2 plug outlets and 2 usb ports attaches to it. Came well packaged in a small box. Great stand for a small room
