The rug looks like the photos - the design is very pretty. The fabric is pretty soft as well. My complaint is that it does not lay flat. We have had it open for 2 weeks with heavy objects on it to flatten and there are still major wrinkles and bumps throughout. Also shipping took much longer than expected
