Okay. So first, don't expect an antique hand made rug. It's printed material. But the material is *soft* and not extremely thin. It *is* non slip bottom. It appears to be something that will be somewhat durable. Not going to last for decades but for the price point it's perfect to give coverage for a high traffic area since it's washable. Again it's not high class by any means. So adjust your expectations to the price point and you will be so happy with this. It arrived folded up, so has creases in it.
