First of all, this sturdy metal side table with a lower wicker shelf is not black, it's really dark brown! That's okay 'cause I prefer dark brown! So, instead of putting it outside with my black patio furniture, I am using it as a plant stand by the patio door in my kitchen. It is such a dark brown, it could be used with black furniture. I love it, especially the wicker shelf, which gives the table attitude! Put it inside or out, it has a multitude of uses. I myself wouldn't put the table where the wicker would get wet. The shelf can be used for whatever needs a place to perch. I will put smaller plants on my shelf that need sunning. I received this table in exchange for an honest review. It arrived sooner than expected, safely wrapped up with plastic. (It took me longer to cut the plastic off than to put the table together! 😆) Not counting the time to unwrap the pieces, the assembly was fairly easy, just a matter of screwing in the screws for the legs and shelf. It was a little tricky holding the wicker shelf and scewing it to the legs while holding the shelf. I made use of my chin! 😁 It only took 15 minutes to put together. Boy, is it sturdy! With its smooth powder coated metal, it will be easy to wipe clean. The excellent quality of this table makes it worth the price!
