Complete a variety of projects around the home or the workshop with the Dremel 540 1-1/4-inch Fiberglass Cut-off Wheel. Only the edge cuts, offering greater precision and control. A cutting disc made of a hard abrasive with a diameter of 1 1/4" (32.0 mm) and a thickness of 0.0625" (1.6 mm) 5 per package. Ideal for cutting, grooving and trimming all kinds of materials--including metal, wood and ceramics. You can use it to cut screws and rusted bolts, make slots in screw heads, trim castings and more. The cut-off wheel cuts only along its edge. Do not attempt to sand or cut curved holes with them. The 540 Cut Off Wheels are compatible with the 402 Slotted Mandrel and all Dremel rotary tools.

Cutting metal for auto repairs.
This was my first time using the Dremel tool for cutting metal and plastic. I was in need for a tool that would get into a tight area while repairing my sons car post-accident. The Dremel tool I have did not come with a cut-off wheel and I had not needed one over the past several years of owning the tool. The time it saved me and ease of use as well as being able to fit in the tight area needing cut was well worth the money and effort to purchase the wheels. The blade was strong enough to cut through the frame needing repair and lasted for more needed cuts in the plastic parts that were involved. I would recommend this wheel for any light metal work and will be using it again.
