The Leighton is equipped with a 12.5" high guardrail on the top bunk and a secure, easy-to-climb 4-step ladder providing safe access for boys and girls while leaving parents worry free. The sturdy wood slats are built to hold two twin size spring mattresses on the top and bottom bunks. The wood bunk bed can be unstacked to become two stand-alone twin size beds making this a wonderful, versatile choice your children and their friends will love.

When you first get it from the store in the box, it is VERY HEAVY, so make sure you have help or have it delivered. Assembly instructions were incredibly easy to follow. Its best to do this with 2 people though, because you physically have to lift the top bunk to put it on the top. The kit had everything it was supposed to come with including a couple extra pieces for the screws and stuff. All pieces are great quality, nothing cheap! The wood was actually very fresh as well because I got reain on my hands from one piece 😂 It's not 64 inches tall though, its a bit shorter than that (my fiance is 6 ft and its nowhere near 4 inches taller than him lol). I like how the ladder is connected to the bed instead of angled outwards as this saves space, but its a bit difficult for a smaller child to figure out because its straight up but shes caught in to it. Great quality. Great bed. Well worth the money. I'd recommend this bunk bed!

Kids love it!
There’s no harsh scent, it’s fairly easy to put together if you know how to read the instructions. I had all hardware pieces including a few extras just in case. It took me(a young single mother) only 2 hours to put together all by myself although I HIGHLY recommend you have help. My kids have been using it for about a month now and they love it, it’s very sturdy for my 8 and 5 year old.

Sturdy Build and Easy to Assemble!
Great piece! Had one yeaaars ago that we got used, it was sturdy as all get out. This one is the same way. If I had to gripe about something it would be the instruction could be just a little bit clearer in a few spots. It was NOT a deal breaker just make sure you check holes etc. before you tighten it all up.
