It helps really dry hair.

I may be wrong, but even though from the picture I assumed that this is a product for women of color, I have extremely dry hair for a white girl that's past menopause. I use it in the shower after shampooing, with a shower cap on. After rinsing it out, I use ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion (leave-in). And drying with a hairdryer seems to lock it in. The less alcohol in hair products helps with dryness.
