Pool Essentials Chlorinating Liquid, 2-pack

This works very well, just watch the date code. It is much better to use liquid chlorine than tablets because tablets raise your CYA over time and high CYA will make chlorine less effective. This two pack was priced fairly well, I'd pour in half a bottle ever other night to keep chlorine levels and no problems. but unfortunately, it's September and all the local Walmart locations are out of stock. Off to the local hardware or grocery store will have it and gladly take my money.

I have used quite a bit of this liquid chlorine in my swimming pool this summer, as it is the cheapest 10% chlorine I have found. However, it seems to have a higher pH than other 10% chlorine supplies, as I am having to add quite a bit more muriatic acid to keep the pool pH in limits. This has been the case with several batches of liquid chlorine I have purchased from Walmart. I have used the single bottles of Pool Essentials rather than this two-pack box of chlorine and I did not notice this problem.
