Pool service without the high cost involved

It's like having pool service but without the high cost involved. I set the Aquabot timer and let the 'robot' go to work. Checking back later, the pool is totally clean. I have messy live oaks over the pool and the 'robot' cleaned up all the nuts and leaves and anything else that was there.

Info that might help others

First great service info from VMInnovations but we almost didn't buy this model due to bad reviews regarding the so called floating cord tangling etc. and yes ...to the Aquabot reps this does happen ...We took our old Aquabot (worked great nearly 20 + years) and removed the cord floats.... drilled out the center to fit the new thicker so called floating cord and attached them to the cord in sections similar to our old Aquabot Classic and Whala ! No cord problems ..no tangles...no Aquabot getting the cord nearly eaten up by the rollers etc. etc. It works fantastic ....so for others who may encounter this problem ..just get some floats for your cord... even if it's simple pool foam type floats like Styrofoam etc. and attach them from the Robot end first and foremost then work down the cord to insure it float up from the main body and your good to go ...no more tangles ! Hope this info helps consumers because this is a great product.

Enhancements Failed to improve performance

I bought an Aquabot Turbo Classic in 2009 when I had my pool installed and loved the product. I called it "my little buddy" cause it did all the work for me. Unfortunately, the main pump in my buddy failed last year and I was told better to buy a new one with the spring sales ahead..... so, I did. I purchased my new Aquabot Turbo Classic spring of 2018 and used it for last season and now starting the 2019 season I feel inclined to write this review. The old unit worked flawlessly. It walked straight and climbed the walls where it changed direction at the surface and redirected in another straight line. After a few hours, pretty much the entire pool floor and walls/ water line was clean -awesome!! The new unit, unfortunately did not prove out as successful. Apparently, Aquabot changed the gear ratio from one side to the next since the new bot makes curved routes throughout the pool and ends up in the deep end basically walking in circles and after days of repeated use, I still need to manually vacuum the pool. Very disappointed with the "enhancement" of this unit and for my pool, it failed to improve anything and when this unit fails, I will most probably change to another brand. I have a 30k gallon in-gound, tri-level, L-shaped pool for those interested. Hope this helps someone with their decision on this investment.
