It gets better with usage.

Right out of the tiny box it came in, it was very simple to assemble the handle to the reel assembly. No other assembly was required. I did check the cutting action and adjusted the contact of the reel with the stationary blade. My first trial run was very good. It was easy to push and cut well. My second run was after I used the blade sharpening accessory and lapping kit. Cutting action was even better and the blades made less noise. I suspect with proper care and cleaning it will get even better.
