You never lose with a Franco shoe. This loafer is elegant -which is not a word one would associate with a Loafer. The patent leather look is not overdone and it pairs beautifully with slacks or an above knee skirt. It's also very comfortable and perfect for long train rides and walking long city blocks. This is my second pair. If you are hesitating-don't! Get them.
