I wanted a change from my Dollar Tree pitcher, and this pitcher is exactly what I wanted - classic design (think Grandmother's kitchen) and good quality - plus affordable. As I love all things blue (and some pink) I surprised myself by how much this clear one appealed to me - I drink a lot of sugar free koolaid (unsweetened packets from our childhood, mixed with five squirts of sugar free water enhancers per pitcher) so I see my drink pitcher several times a day! lol. I wanted something super enjoyable to use this often. The raised paisley design is beautiful, pitcher is of a quite heavy acrylic, and the spout doesn't dribble! That's important, that drives me crazy when a pour spout always runs down the side! I highly recommend this casual, beautiful, even nostalgic, quality drink pitcher. The lid has the customary openings on each side, one for regular pour and one for straining ice through, and fits snugly on the pitcher. When filled, the pitcher is a bit hefty, so arthritic folks and children may need assistance. I would also highly recommend wooden, plastic or silicone utensils for stirring, and hand washing, to prevent scratches and "etching", or permanent cloudiness, from dishwasher detergents. Not a dollar store price, but well worth the price for such a beautiful, quality addition to the table! God bless!
