Awesome Looking Boot, but quality issues

I was so excited to receive this boot and when I opened the box I was thrilled to see that the shoe had a chunky heel, smooth rich leather, but the chain finish was peeling. It looked like it was chipping away from the gold finish! So disappointed! I have lots of VC shoes and have never had this quality issue :(
