Simple and works great!

Setup was very easy, directions were simple, easy to follow, no specialized knowledge required, just plug and play, works great as described! Using this to send wireless signal to a new farm workshop bldg in a very rural area. There is Hughes Net satellite internet at a house about 500 feet away and it works with the Hughes Net and our existing cheap wireless router fine. Very pleased.

Horrible Product

The only good thing about this product is that the technical support is in America. I have gone through 3 of these things. The first one worked great till I decided to upgrade the firmware that I got off the ampedwireless website which turned it into a brick. The last two wouldn't pick up anything but my local router and even then it was intermittent and that is with the repeater being located no more than 15 ft away from the router. So 1.5 miles I think not more like 1.5 ft. The whole purpose of purchasing this device was so that I could share the internet with my neighbor which did a good job on the first one I bought but the other two wouldn't pick up anything. I don't know if Walmart just had a bad batch of these things but they are not very reliable or stable. Prior to this I had purchased one of the Hawking repeaters which worked fine but I thought I could get a stronger signal with these since they are 600Mw compared to the Hawking being only 250Mw of transmit power. I was wrong. I will probably just order a new hawking repeater and call it a day.

Oh I'm amped

Own both the amped ap and their repeater Lasted about two years then dumped out after about a year both became problematic needing to be reset all the time finally they gave up and became paper weights! When I bout they were 150.00 a piece Engenuis makes a nice alternative at half the price with us support and a 1 mile line of sight in 2.4 or 5.8 ap n clientbridge for 175 ampedwireless ap and a repeater cost me 300 bucks
