Aoodor 16.5" Galvanized Self-Watering Raised Garden Bed with Drainage-Beige

I ordered this item as my first foray into raised bed gardening and self watering systems since I live in a dry climate. One of my issues is the supplied tubing for the watering modules. You put watering modules next to each other. Each module has a hole and you connect the modules with a piece of tubing. The outer diameter of the supplied tubes is noticably smaller than the diameter of the opening. Since you fill one module with water, and as the water level in that module reaches a certain level, water is supposed to flow into the neighboring module, water will leak out without the proper fit on the connector. I had to order the proper diameter tubing to correct this. Another concern is the material used for the water modules. The documentation and their Aoodor website do not specify of any or all the materials are food grade. If you intend to grow vegetables you should make sure this system is safe. Lastly, I appreeciate the fact that they supply a protective rubber strip to reduce risk of cuts from the upper edge. However, the side edges of the metal pieces that make the body of the bad are very sharp. This can become an issues as you work on the box moving soil around or with the plants. Wearing gloves is advisable.
