It is small, it has a strap to hang it or you can set it on a table or dresser. The glasses are in the picture to help you understand the size. It has many sound options, lots of static or wind options, rain with low thunder, water dripping, waves, birds chirping, frogs croaking, strong wind, pattering rain, crickets, many peaceful music options, and a heartbeat. There are enough sounds that there should be one you like. The battery lasts a long time. I was sick for 2 days and it played the whole time I was in bed. It is very easy to use. The volume is loud enough to be soothing but not irritating. It may be marketed for baies, but it is great for any age person with sleep issues. A charging cord is provided. You may have to charge it before use, I did, but it doesn't take long to charge enough to use it. Oh, and it is great for pets too, lol, my dog is a high energy, loud barking dog. I kept him in my room while I was sick and he was very calm and slept with me thoughout my illness. He didn't bark at me once. I leave the sleep machine on near his crate if I have to leave him for a sense of comfort and normalcy. This is a great device.
