Poor Quality Tap

I have been using pipe taps all my life. I was tapping into 1/2" thick 6061 aluminum. I bought this tap because I had to finish a job on a weekend. This tap broke on the third turn with very little pressure. Fortunately there was enough left of the threaded part of the tap that I was able to complete the job with vise grips. VERY poor quality.
