I think this goes without saying, but your experience will depend a *lot* on both your dog's food drive and maybe a little how smart they are. I tried this on two Boxer dogs. One of them, he didn't quite get it. He's also not always super food motivated. He found the smaller compartments to be inconvenient to get the food out of, so he gave up. The second dog, she was very happy with this toy. Would give 10 stars if we could. She figured out the game right away, and it kept her very occupied. She did try to bite the tray to get into it. She's a big dog and knows that she can just break things open with her mouth lol. So I do suggest supervising when using this. It's the kind of plastic that would be pretty sharp if it broke. The feet on the bottom of the tray hold it in place okay, but obviously can't withstand a large dog pushing it all over the place on carpet. She used her feet to hold it down when it moved. I think this will be really nice to have on hand for rainy days.
