Lisle 32500 - Pipe Expander

First off, I had to completely disassemble this tool and remove all caked up paint, file down several casting flash ridges and lubricate with anti-seize before the cap screw would expand the jaws. I also had a problem with the tool expanding evenly. It expanded the pipe larger at the first 3/4 inch and when I moved it in past the expanded section, it didn't have enough force to expand the same amount as the first 3/4 inch. Had to go in about 1/2 inch at a time and rotate several times to get a round expansion. I was using this tool to expand stainless steel exhaust pipe, but that should not have caused so much trouble. I am a retired welder and machinist and restore classic cars, I am not a novice at this type of work, so this review is not coming from a beginner or shade tree mechanic. Don't much like this pipe expander (too much work to get good results). Better to buy a more expensive, higher quality tool, which is what I will do.
