Breeze Blast by Sharper Image Personal Water Bottle and Air Cooler, Light Blue

I purchased the Breeze Blast Ultra Personal Air Cooler on clearance at Walmart, so I did not and would not pay $40. The air flow has two speeds. I barely feel any difference between the two speeds. I would not describe either as a "blast" of air. The air flow is not stronger than a standard handheld battery operated fan; it is arguably lighter. The air temperature is the same with or without the Blast Pack ice pack or ice cubes. The unit can fit in a small or oddly shaped space where a traditional fan cannot fit. I use rechargeable batteries or I plug the unit in using the USB cord. It depends on whether I have access to an outlet. So far, it works on cold Fall or Winter nights when I get too warm. I place it on my nightstand and point it directly at my face. The distance is 17 inches. I doubt that it would help much on hot summer nights at that distance. Just like any other portable fan, I have to hold it very close to my face indoors/outdoors when the temperature is high. The unit is big and bulky to accommodate the Blast Pack ice pack or ice cubes, yet neither add any additional cooling effect. Therefore, the unit is not practical for use on the go, where a standard battery operated handheld fan would be lighter and would work just as well.

Save yourself the trouble and don't buy this!! I purchased this a couple months ago to use at work.. I used it probably 2 weeks and it stopped working!! I couldn't believe it especially since I paid over $40.00 for it!! It really wasn't that great and I had already determined it definitely wasn't worth that much.. So, since I live in a Tourist Town and business was steady at my job I got my husband to take it back.. Not sure what I was thinking but I tossed the receipt as well as the original packaging.. They told my husband they couldn't give me a refund or in store credit and that the item had been discontinued so they didn't even have a barcode to scan... I'm very upset about this situation.. I have had a Walmart Money Card for at least 3 years and have my paycheck deposited on it as well as add money to the card.. I also spend alot of money there!! This item is garbage!! A few days ago I saw the exact same item in the store at the front... Only difference is the color and name!! I've seen bad reviews on other sites about this item I only wish I'd checked them out first!!! Do not buy! And the return policy on a discontinued item should be different!! I should have gotten my money back!! Save yourself the trouble
