EZ Snap Breakthrough Fastener Innovation: This amazing “No-Drill” Fastener System allows the average do-it-yourselfer to install Exterior Shade Screens with no experience and without specialized tools, making it easy for you to have professional-looking results every time.
How It Works: EZ Snap 3M Adhesive Studs attach securely to smooth, flat, non-textured surfaces such as vinyl window frames, aluminum, plastic, and fiberglass. EZ Snap Pins snap securely onto the mounted Studs and feature a small, sharp plastic shaft that pokes through the Shade Material. Caps are pressed onto the Pins (with Shade Mesh in between) and lock permanently onto the Pins.
Installation Tips: Space Fasteners 5-10 inches apart, depending on your project. Ensure temperatures are above 15°C/60°F, ideally 21°C/70°F. Apply at least 15 lbs. of pressure on Fasteners. Pre-clean the surface with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol-water mix and use a Primer Pen for optimal results. Once 3M studs are installed, wait at least 60 minutes, ideally 24 hours, before installing the shading mesh.
