Bed was fairly easy for one person to set up (took about an hour and a half) but definitely recommend another person to help if possible. Hardest part was towards the end when you have to pop in each of the plastic pieces to hold the bars in place. It is sturdy even without the wall mount. Space under the bottom bunk is big enough for a laundry basket to fit under. The ladder is not padded so it may need padding. Be careful when stepping off the ladder to the floor as the space from the last step to the ground is quite high.

Received this bunk bed in a timely manner. My two boys 10 13 built the bed fairly easily. They missed part of the directions and had to back track to fix. The more hands the faster it was built. My daughters love it and are happy with its white color and ease in climbing up the ladder. Would recommend.
