This HP Pavilion gaming laptop PC is the fastest computer I have ever used. It has an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, 8 GB SDRAM, 256 GB solid state drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphic. The computer starts almost instantaneously, and Chrome browser is up in a few seconds. It is so much faster than my i7 desktop. I guess every component contribute something to the speed of this computer. I downloaded a few programs from the Internet, including iTune. It took only several minutes for me to transfer my 3000 plus songs from an external hard drive. Both Internet and non-Internet games work smoothly. Games like Cities: Skylines and Maple Story 2 require a lot processing power. This laptop handles them nicely. As far as games are concerned, the 15.6 inch display may be the weak point of the laptop. There is a HDMI port. It may be possible to connect the laptop to a TV set for playing games. The built-in speakers are unremarkable. Since the laptop has Bluetooth function, I connected a small Bluetooth speaker to it, and the sound quality was much improved. People who desire better quality sound should invest in a good speaker system. There is touch pad, and it works fine. But I found that an external mouse is a lot more useful. There is no optical drive. Most programs can be downloaded from the Internet. For older programs on discs, it is possible to copy the files to a USB drive using another computer, and then install the program from the USB drive. Another option is to use an external optical drive. I recommend this laptop to anyone who loves speed.

This is a blazing fast laptop. It is true to the advertising that it's a gamer laptop. I downloaded Destiny 2 from Steam and it played at full specs with no stutters or lag at all (the download took forever at almost 80GB!) The graphics quality is excellent. The keyboard looks great when it lights up - the green color is easy on the eyes when it's in a dark room. I like that there isn't a bunch of other led lights on it like so many other "gamer" rigs have. It's got two fans that are pretty quiet, but keep the system cool, even when it's sitting on my lap - one little gripe, the rubber "feet" are a little sharp when it's on my lap and I'm wearing shorts. I bought a lap-desk so no more issues with that. The 8GB of memory lets it cruise through everything I've tossed at it, from the game I described above to some moderate video editing. Gotta love the dedicated graphics processor - it really blows away all the integrated graphics chips I've used before. Two very minor issues: 1) a little concerned about the small hinge - it seems secure, but it's very narrow. 2) the SSD is kind of small at only 256GB - a couple games and it'll be overloaded. Overall, an awesome machine that does what it says very well
