when I first got it I had to take off all the bedding including the cover then start vacuuming the mattress then put back on the cover that was clean no dust mite. but once I started to put on the sheets, blanket and comforter including pillows there's dust mites. I wasn't itchy anymore, getting sick nor puffy around the face!
