I own another unit of this brand and I really liked it so I purchased this one in hopes that it would be stronger than the one I have currently because it's three years old. Unfortunately, it's not quite the same power, but I decided to keep it anyway. They are different beater bars on this one versus my old one. My old one had bristles and brushes and this one just has a rubber paddle type beater bar, which to me doesn't seem to get as good and doesn't brush your carpet as well
