Assembly is difficult as the pieces that arrive for it are not correct. Some holes are impossible to get through with the screws provided. Sturdiness is alright if you jam the screws in the wood to make sure it stays, but you basically have to hammer some of the screws in because the holes they go into are simply not big enough. The bunkbed fit the mattresses I needed them for which is a plus. However, if I could go back, I definitely would not have opted for this one.
