I started using it for slicing mushrooms and olives when I make homemade pizza. Then for cutting the green and black olives for olive salad. it cut down on the time it takes to cut one olive. I will put 4 to 5 olives in at one time to slice all at the same time. I was so use to using it I gave it a Christmas presents to my daughters and sister. The only down fall is cleaning for some, it is done best by hand and occasion some olive pieces may have to be removed with a knife.
