On the Italian Riviera, the famous delicacy, the Taggiasca olives is responsible for exquisite yet delicate flavors in olive oil, and the favorite foods, focaccia and pesto. We found this selection, exclusively Taggiasca olives, to be buttery with hints of nuts, distinct mild fruit, and gentle notes of herbs. Roi is crafted in the mountain town of Badalucco, perched on steep slopes between the Mediterranean and the mountains. It was notably included in the opening scenes of the Netflix show, Fat, from Samin Nosrat’s Salt Fat Acid Heat. The sweeping vistas of steeply sloped olive groves were the Roi groves. We recommend this especially for pesto, mayonnaise, grilled or baked fish, focaccia, and risotto.
