I dont know tht it is accurate but I know the food is not overdone or undercooked. I haven't had it long enough to have info on battery. I can tell you I use it almost everyday for both a cooked and reheated meal. Too much food poisoning out there.

Love the magnetic back so I can keep it handy on the side of my fridge. It cleans up easily. I appreciate you don't have to close it fully to turn off so when it's messy but I'll need to check again in a few minutes I don't have to keep washing it. Less one star because sometimes it's slower to register temp. Not sure why, but sometimes it jumps right up and other times there seems to be a lag. Still faster than cheaper and even some $30 versions I've owned from Taylor brand.
